Multimedia Broadcast
MN99 News Anchor
Along with being Co-Editor-in-Chief of The Hoofbeat, I am also part of the school broadcasting club. I am an anchor on MN99 News for the morning announcements. I collaborate with my co-anchors to write scripts that are efficient and entertaining, while also covering every announcement that is necessary. The hardest part about news video broadcasting is keeping my eyes open in front of bright lights while trying to keep a smile on my face.

News Announcement Supplements
This year, the broadcast club is making an active effort to keep the morning announcements engaging and timely. I create short videos that are clipped into the morning announcement to inform students of holidays, reminisce on big events, or simply provide an entertaining start to the day.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day
This video was made to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. on February 3, 2016. I clipped together photos of Martin Luther King Jr. with a video of his famous "I Have a Dream" speech. By playing the audio from the beginning of his well-known speech, the goal was to help students connect the day with the ideals of the holiday. I also overlaid audio of the song "Glory" by John Legend to create an inspiring feel to the short video. Before we were able to air this video, I did research about copyright laws for all the photos and videos used in order to avoid liability.

Groundhog's Day Mustang Moment
Every episode of the morning announcement ends with a "Mustang Moment" that helps students start their day on a fun note. For the Feb. 3, 2017 episode, I created a short video of the Groundhog's Day groundhog peaking out of his hole.
